Went with a dear friend to have a glass of wine, ended up staying for hor d'oeuvre, dinner and two more glasses of wine. The food was stellar. My palette hasn't been this satisfied since my last trip to Portland! Bravo! Stuffed figs, prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes And wonderful customer service!

OMG!!! Michael & I stopped in based on their 5-Star rating. This place is amazing. The fresh warm blu cheese potato chips are pure sin. Two million stars. I am severely addicted. Dang, I was doing so well on my diet. I think were coming back for dinner tonight!

Heaven! Cheese plate, blue cheese potato chips, cheese stuffed dates and the chicken balsamic sandwich!!! Small plates, fresh local ingredients and clean eating with simplicity yet bold flavor are going to blow your mind. I'm picky and this is a top favorite. Great service too!!

I had the Mediterranean flatbread without chicken. It was great. The crust was perfect and had flavor. They used fresh mozzarella like they should. They don't carry soda but have ice tea and Italian sodas. Odd but kinda cool. The server was fine but inexperienced. Prices are ok but in my opinion a little expensive.

A recent visit for lunch found us looking for the Twisted Cork. This wine bar/bistro has a great menu with lots of local purveyors on the it and a wine list to match. A small place with friendly and comfortable service that was spot on. They also have a very nice wine selection on the wall, not on the menu, I found several there that were very nice and limited production runs - all reasonably priced, just waiting to be uncorked. Fresh flowers on the tables is a nice touch and makes the experience even more enjoyable. Comfortable, casual and classy are the first impressions, nicely decorated with actual space around each table seating area make this space feel open and unpretentious. A must try appetizer if you are a fan of blue cheese, the warm Blue cheese Potato chips. Using local blue cheese from Rogue Creamery, this treat was so good and pared so well with our wine, there was only one problem - we wanted more! I ordered the Cesar salad with seared Salmon. The Salmon was perfectly prepared resting nicely on top of a nice bed of local Romaine hearts, fresh tasty and delicious - the house-made Cesar dressing was mixed nicely throughout the bed of greens. A great and filling lunch option. My wife ordered, the Open faced Chicken sandwich with Blueberry compote, she said it was delicious and the sample bite that I got was quite tasty, a wonderful mix of well prepared moist tender chicken and the sweetness of the blueberry compote - it was also solid choice for lunch. All in all, a great place to grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Lunch for two with an excellent bottle of wine and tip - $90 and worth every penny. You can do it for about half without the bottle... We plan to visit again the next time we are in town, and on the list of great places behind the Redwood curtain... A solid 4.5 Stars - rounded up for the stellar service and recommendations for wineries. 00271

It was, sadly, marginal...fewer ants was good! Rude Frank and 20 min. For a glass of wine. The piece de resistance was the brownie sundae with a fly riding atop the maraschino cherry...Frank just rolled his eyes. "Whattaya' gonna' do?" On our never going back list.... The Hispanic woman who delivers the meals is lovely and gracious Buh-Bye

Good place. Quiet. Great food. Wife got their butternut squash topped with Gouda soup. She loved it. Flavorful, seasoned perfectly. Gluten free bread was rustic and hearty, paired great with the soup. I got their cod burger and salad. It is a grilled cod sandwich on a bun. Dill aioli, tomato, red onion, pea shoots on a brioche bun. When I first bit into it, my mind wasn't sure what it bit into. Second bite on, my taste buds loved every second of it. Give them a try if you want peace and quiet while eating.

Pomegranate Cinnamon Flank Steak and Mediterranean Shrimp with Orzo - two meals to rave about! So glad we read the reviews on Twisted Cork while visiting from Portland. My husband and I both thought we had the best meal and were stingy in sharing! Service was superb in spite of being a busy Friday nite. Wine by the glass menu is quite limited but their wine by the bottle collection is awesome.

Four of us had a great dinner here, with a great server, Denise. Recommend the pomegranate cinnamon flank steak (yeah, right, that sounds amazing!-- and comes on a delicious bed of veggies.) Ginger-glazed salmon was also tasty. Went with an excellent rhone style wine Denise suggested, Ex Umbris. Don't usually indulge to this degree, but we topped it off with a fig cheesecake and salted caramel sundae. Looking forward to the next time.

Ok, mistakes are made and we did not get waited on for about 20 minutes. So the sweet girl (Denise) comes over and I was a crab with her, but she made my day much better for being the person God meant her to be. Perfect. The FOOD was great, the wine great and the young lady that waited on us GREAT too. Thank you Denise.

Toffee cake was one of the best desserts I've ever had, with gooey, melty goodness. The stuffed dates were a hit, as well as the salmon entrées. Of course they have a ridiculously good wine list and the service and ambiance are top notch. Perfect spot to bring wine-loving parents.

We went here for my Birthday dinner and wound up going back for the hubby's Birthday dinner, as well. (you can never have too much of a good thing) The wine selection is wonderful, food presentation, awesome; food itself, fabulous and ambiance great. The menu varies a llittle with the season, but there is something for everyone.

Went to visit on vacation with my family and we could not be seated since I had two tennagers with me. Apparently if you are under 21 you cannot sit in the bar area without a wall separating you from the bar. We did not know that being that we were here from out of state. Would have been nice if we would have known. They were apologetic but something on the website would have been helpful.

My wife and I ate at the twisted cork last saturday night. The appetizers were good enough but the service was pretty lousy. The entrees were so disgusting that I actually spit food into my napkin. I've never done that in a restaurant, not even in Grants Pass . Very expensive for a small amount of gross honest we will never return. I suspect the good reviews are written by family and friends. or maybe they changed chefs. I won't even give this place 1 star. But I have to or else I cant post this review.

Small intimate atmosphere. You can hear the sizzle of the grill from your table. Well balanced dishes of sweet & savory.

Can you say yum!! Food is fantastic. Best in town for an upscale meal. Like a best kept secret. Great service. Rogue roasters coffee. Off the hook desserts Best girlfriend lunch place in Southern Oregon!! Took my husband there for dinner. Amazing food and wines. I wish I could bring my son. He would love it. No one under 21!!

One if my all-time FAVORITES. Consistently friendly staff. Daily seasonal specials. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere. If you are shopping downtown Grants Pass, stopping in for a sticky toffee cake will make your day one million times more magical, instantly. I promise. The wine selection is fabulous, and they offer flights of ports, in addition. They will occasionally have live music in an intimate little setting. It's perfect for a date, a lunch with friends... Or, if you are like me, a pl

Wow was I surprised to find this in Grants Pass! I might have expected to see this kind of place in Portland or some other large city, but here? Awesome! A good wine selection, a great menu, friendly staff and good service: it was a win all the way around. Saturday night, a group of four, no reservations, no problem. When I am back in this area, I'll be back here. Meanwhile, I'm counting on you locals to keep this place in business!

While most reviews for this place are for the food offered, which is awesome by the way, I want to speak out for the incredible customer service, the excellent wines offered for gifts and consumption, and the convenience of the gift shop attached. For the holidays I needed a wine related gift and gift card for two meals. The OWNER helped me put together what was later reviewed to me by the recipient as the best gift ever! They redeemed their gift card and had an "incredible" meal. Nice to be a part of a community that offers such upstanding full service business!

I went to the Twisted Cork for the first time today with my roommates and was so pleasantly surprised! We shared a small fruit and cheese plate that was ample for 3 (with grapes, Brie, kiwi, strawberries, goat cheese, blue cheese, apples...) very nice. I loved their gluten free accommodations. And we had wine flights which were fantastic. Owner Beth was warm, informative and very nice. We will be back! So nice to have a place like this in Grants Pass :-) Update 8/6//12 - I am now a regular. Great wine, great food, great service. Love their prosecco over ice with sorbet, so refreshing on a hot day in GP!

A Cruvinet with an excellent selection of local wines--and food as good as the wine. We were in Grants Pass for two nights and, after eating at the TC the first night, we didn't dare risk going anyplace else the 2nd night.

Great food, service and ambiance . I have probably eaten here 5 or 6 times and have never been disappointed. The specials are always creative and delicious . Yesterday's prime rib sandwich was awesome! Gets my vote for the best food in Grants Pass. No one under 21 is allowed which was a bummer when I wanted to take my 20 year old daughter to lunch. But now that she just had her 21st birthday I am enjoying the quiet, adult atmosphere.

If you're a "foodie" this is the place for you. Yes, they offer a wide selection of delicious wines, but I think the FOOD is the real star here! Unique pairings and Michelin Star quality food...all packaged neatly in a welcoming and stylish wine bar.

  • Lacey H.

Superb. Really. This place satisfies every part of my dining (and moderate, classy, non-debauchery drinking) expectations. Low lit, tasteful atmosphere with just enough noise to allow for private conversation, but not so much that you have to scream across the table at a friend about your recent breakup. Perfect ambiance to make you want to drink and eat the night away. Now for the wine selection: possibly THE best in town. It's Grants Pass, so it's not exactly a horse race for that title, but considering the resources we're working with, The Twisted Cork is doing pretty damn well. Wait staff is super friendly and just the right amount of attentive. I don't remember exactly what I ate for dinner (did I mention they have a great wine selection?), but I DO know that it was delicious. They have great gluten free options that don't make you feel like you're missing out on real food. BONUS: They have a great little shop connected to the restaurant with hilarious, but tactful home decor. Moral of the story: I love it here and pray to the powers that be that the community recognizes this gem and helps keep it in business. All of the greats seem to drop like flies 'round these parts... let's not let that happen to this one, people...

We had an excellent dinner! Great service & the best desert I've had in a long time! I had the salmon, delicious, my husband had clam ciapiano, we each the soup, we shared a salad, all was very tasty. The Oregon wine we tried was also excellent. They have a great wine list, with a good selection of wines from different regions?

We were driving from Seattle to San Fran and literally were just driving through town and spotted this little gem. It was so cute and we smelled the food from outside, yum. We are in our 30's and were by FAR the youngest couple in this place and we have no idea why or if this was a fluke. The ambiance was chic and metropolitan, the service was EXCELLENT. Our server was so friendly, she really made us feel welcomed and helped us out since we were first timers. The food was amazing. I have the antipasto platter and my guy had a panini. It was all so yummy we hardly left anything on our plates. Even the peppers and olives that will sometimes taste bland or from a can were full of flavor. Our experience was so good, we want an excuse to come here again!

I met a friend here for dinner the other night and was duly impressed. This is a lovely upscale bistro in the heart of downtown. Neither my friend nor I drink, so we were a little self-conscious about not ordering their wines, but they could not have been more gracious. We ordered their much-touted poblano cream soup and it was fabulous. Along with this, we ordered three of their appetizers - one with stuffed dates, one made with bites of fig and another made with stuffed escarole (I think) leaves - all very good and reasonably priced. We topped it off with a fabulous salted caramel custard confection - oh, yum! The art work on the walls was a treat for the eyes too. Our lovely server was perfection. Will definitely return.

I used to live in San Francisco, Santa Monica and Santa Fe, and I've had my share of outstanding cuisine-believe me. I now live in Ashland, and there's a few contemporary cuisine restaurants here ( Smithfields, Amuse, Coquina). THE TWISTED CORK in Grants Pass is unbelievably delicious, cozy, friendly and moderately priced. I was visiting GP recently and asked all around town where to go for a delicious nibble and glass of wine- (that wasn't a bar, or fried food buffet). Everyone said the same thing: Twisted Cork! I walked in not having any idea I was going to be blown away by such a well thought out seasonal menu. I pride myself on being a quick and decisive orderer, but there were so many unbearably enticing choices, I couldn't make up my mind! I finally decided on the Creamy Poblano Soup, Warm Blue Cheese Potato Chips (omg!) and the Gorganzola Polenta. I wish I had ordered the Warm Cheese Stuffed Dates with Bacon instead of the Polenta... It was a bit dry and tasteless. I was calling my chef friends, taking pictures of my food, posting on social media while savoring every exquisite bite and a great pint of porter. My server was the sweetest lady ever, much more experienced, gracious and hospitable than the usual overworked stressed out clueless 21 yr. old who's tired from their full time college courses and couldn't care less about cuisine, service or fine wine. Thank you Twisted Cork for giving me such a memorable and pleasurable dining experience!

Creative gourmet food and outstanding local wine selection in a pleasant space shared by a home decor store. Note this I not a good location for a group of more than perhaps four due to furnishings layout. Great for intimate dinner with spouse though!

Unbelievably good. This is a place we picked from yelp while driving from Crescent City to Susanville. A must stop if you find yourself in Grants Pass. Cute wine bar/bistro atmosphere, flights/glasses or bottles of some great wines, friendly attentive service and some seriously delicious food make me want to bribe the owner to move to Sacramento and open a place in midtown (preferably within walking distance to my house...) Started with the roasted poblano soup (with added chicken) it was off the charts...creamy, hot and had just the right amount of smokey heat from the peppers-- drooling a little writing about it ! We had some wraps (chicken and bleu) that were delicious and just the right size to leave room for dessert...the sticky toffee pudding cake. I have no words for this concoction of warm gooey sweet sprinkled with sea salt combination. The three of us were fighting over the last lick of the plate-if you only have one thing at this restaurant (you're a fool, but...) have this dessert.

Food is always good here. Service is always very attentive, but not overbearing. Hands down, the best place to eat in Grants Pass.

Ok well to be honest if we were going on wine selection I would give 5 stars, and on food I also would give 5 stars.... But :) the service is what dropped the star rating, we have ate here many times before and we get treated the same. Extremely judged the people who work in this establishment should be ashamed of them selfs. We love good wine and food but these people judge like we can't afford the meal or the wine. Maybe they should see how much tattoos cost for the time and art. We aren't stuck up just because we have kickass art. We r in our 30s and 40s and covered in tattoos! Obviously :) Which I get older people looking down on that in all but really so not except able ! We r polite and respectable like all the other costumers and should be treated like wise. I have talked to other younger edgy people in our community and they all agree the they do stereotype and hopefully the owners read this and try to show some more grace, kindness, and appreciation for our business :)

We LOVE LOVE LOVE The Twisted Cork! Great service, amazing wine selection, and fantastic food! The setting is cozy, comfortable and chic. I just wish they were open Mondays :( Everything that I have tried has blown me away, from the Proscuitto Wrapped Figs to the Chilled Salmon Salad or the Cheesecake with gingerbread crust? (Can't remember, I probably gobbled it up before you could tell me!) But the Roasted Poblano soup is tops! My favorite soup in town! Also, if you enjoy sweet wines there is a semi-sparkling Moscato called Fizze that really went well with dessert. Someday I will bring my mom in if she could get a day off besides Monday! I'm sure she will love it as much as I do.

Agree with my fellow critic, Debra, Who states, "this is a great place for women or couples." I would emphasize the "women" part, though. The menu, decor and overall vibe is very feminine. I felt out of place having lunch there as a single businessman passing through town. While there was a beefy looking burger on the lunch menu, everything else was pretty froofroo. Mind you, the food really tasted quite good and the service was terrific. but with the decor straight out of the Fred Meyer home interiors department and the Sirius XM "Watercolours" station playing in the background, I felt a little bit like I should be getting my nails done instead of eating lunch. Even the silverware was noticeably smaller to fit a woman's hand more than a man's. If you are a middle aged woman out shopping with your girlfriends, then definitely stop in for lunch or dinner. If a deep, rich atmosphere is what you are looking for, I'd probably try someplace else.

We loved everything we ordered and thought this place could fill a much larger space. People were waiting for seats. The roasted poblano soup was so good I had a second one. We shared the polenta appetizer that had a delicious gorgonzola and dried fig topping. The house salad had fresh pea shoots in it and came with tasty dressings. In London I always ordered the sticky toffee pudding (really a date cake) and this one was as good as the best! The wine tastings are fun to share. Can't wait to dine there again.

This place was amazing! The decor was cute-- cottage-y and wine bar-esque. The food was equally delicious! Since there is not a great selection of higher class restaurants in Grants Pass, my family and I are grateful to have found this hidden gem! My parents are vegetarian, and hence this review is based purely on their vegetarian options. The place is an inviting garden-like wine bar with only a few tables with sofa seats, some bar style tall tables, and a bar. They are actually open throughout the entire afternoon which is rare in Grants Pass considering most places close between lunch and dinner. We met the chef who was lovely and creates all of their fabulous dishes! Their wine selection looked fantastic, but I had a lovely Tangerine Wheat beer that I definitely recommend to all the Blue Moon fans out there. All the wait staff were very accommodating and genuinely sweet. The food was brought out promptly and were all plated beautifully. We had the special orzo and veggie stuffed peppers topped with Parmesan which were a small tapas bite packed with flavor. We also shared the goat cheese and mushroom pesto with crackers plate (a must!) and the crusted goat cheese and beet salad, both of which were downright phenomenal. The Florentine flat bread was covered with feta, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms, and had a delicious Mediterranean flavor. We were still hungry afterward so we ordered the fresh and yummy Greek wrap that had veggies, homemade falafels, and a spicy cucumber yogurt sauce. YUM! We were easily talked into a decadent flour-less chocolate cake with caramel and chocolate mouse on top... almost had a heart attack. So good!! Overall this place was fantastic and had a unique mix of flavors in each dish. I like that every dish was unique and hand crafted, with a very robust palate and had dishes from a variety of cultures. I would consider this an "American-New" restaurant and I'm so happy we tried it! The best upscale, vegetarian-friendly, sharing plate restaurant in Grants Pass for sure! Will be back and will be bringing friends and family as the first dinner they have!

A chill, classy spot in downtown Grants Pass. We stopped by in the late afternoon after driving up from California, looking to kill some time and take it easy before dinner. I wish I could say it in a way that doesn't make me sound like an effete snob, but Grants Pass is definitely more... grungy than we expected. So, finding a place like The Twisted Cork was both a surprise and a bit of a relief. The lady behind the bar, Elaine (sp?) was very attentive and pleasant. In addition to helping us choose some of the local wines, she gave us tips on things to see in the town as well as places to visit in the greater area. We sat at the bar, and after we came in there were several other couples who arrived afterwards, yet after greeting each new set of patrons Elaine would always return to us to make more small talk. Later in the evening a young man came to play some live music on guitar. Nothing flashy, and entirely appropriate for the setting. If you, too, are driving through on the way to a lodge or else farther north to Portland, be sure to stop by!

Best food in the valley - and I mean between Ashland, Medford & Grants Pass! Hands down, the freshest, most well prepared food anywhere near here. This place is the best kept secret around.

Excellent everything! A fine wine bar and gourmet restaurant you'd expect to find in Ashland that is without a doubt the best in the Rogue Wine Country. Menu changes. Get on their email list for invitations to intimate winemaker dinners.

Beautiful atmosphere and high quality furniture is comfortable. The wine by the glass is good, but a tad bit pricey. The food, especially the soups are wonderful.. Service is good, staff is attentive. A great addition to Grants Pass..

A group of women from work decided to meet at the Twisted Cork for dinner and wine. What a great experience! There is limited seating so a few of us arrived early to get a table for our group of 7. The staff was wonderful about moving some tables and working at fitting us in. (no reservations taken). This is a great place for women and couples to relax in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. The menu had a wide variety of options. Our group had two orders of bread and dipping sauce and a flight of dips to go with our flight of wines! We will be back for sure! I would also be comfortable sitting with a book and a glass of wine by myself. VERY NICE!

All I can say is the Twisted Cork is an oasis in the desert of Grants Pass eateries. We always have consistent prompt friendly service combined with wonderful food. You won't be disappointed.

Friendly people, delicious food, great vibe. The cinnamon flank steak was ridiculously good, as were the homemade salad dressings. Coming from LA, we are very spoiled when it comes to food, and this place did not disappoint. Loved the Oregon wine flights, too. Although seating is cozy and welcoming, the place is small enough that it's a little chilly as guests come in and out. Other than that, we couldn't be happier with the romantic dinner we had here.
